I've had quite a few people ask me how Alex asked for my hand. If you watch the last 2 minutes of his parents' vow renewal, you will see. Whether you have or not, let me set the scene:
A private pod that can house 30 people on a giant ferris wheel, overlooking Las Vegas. Momma B and Papa K have just finished renewing their vows after 26 years. The officiator says something along the lines of, "We're all dressed up, we have the pod for 20 more minutes, does anybody else want to get married?" Alex speaks up, "Well now that you mention it." What you won't see in the video is the part where I thought he was joking and said, "Ha-ha, you're real funny babe." Then he pulled out the ring and got down on one knee. Of course I said yes without hesitation. No, I didn't know it was going to happen. My reaction after that was pure shock. I had an inkling he had been looking at rings because my other ring went missing for 12 hours on Halloween but when I came home and found it on the floor, I just felt very foolish. I explained the situation to him through tears that day about how ridiculous I felt, all while he had actually taken it to be sized. I could not have asked for a better kept secret.
